Now, for what all those numbers mean:

  1. Clean, Quiet & Safe Glass: VELUX Electric "Fresh Air" Skylights come standard with our Clean, Quiet & Safe Glass. Made with Neat® glass, a silicon dioxide coating makes it exceptionally smooth so water sheets off and evaporates quickly. This greatly reduces water spotting. And since it's a thicker glass, it reduces unwanted noise by up to 25% less than standard double pane glass and up to 50% less than a plastic skylight.
  2. Rain Sensors: The Electric "Fresh Air" Skylight is equipped with a moisture-driven sensor. With the first drops of rain, your skylight will automatically close to ensure the space below stays dry.
  3. Skylight Frame & Flashing: Each VELUX Electric "Fresh Air" Skylight qualifies for our No Leak Warranty, thanks to the skylight frame and VELUX flashing. This warranty offers 10 years of protection on installation, plus 20 years on glass, 10 years on product, and 5 years on blinds and controls.
  4. Standard Hard Wire: To power your skylight, the Electric "Fresh Air" Skylight has a single 20-foot hard wire that connects to a standard junction box. It corresponds with the remote that comes with your skylight to open and close it and the blinds.
  5. Venting Capabilities: The "Fresh Air" part of the name of this skylight comes from this venting feature, which allows fresh air to flow through your home. It opens just enough to release the hot air trapped at the top of your ceiling so cooler clean air can flow through.

Each Electric "Fresh Air" Skylight also comes equipped with an insect screen to prevent pests from getting into your home.
